this is me venturing out from the safety of my parking garage to take outfit pictures. I can’t really call it much of a venture, though, considering I ended up at the Botanical Gardens – not exactly a popular place in the middle of winter [although I did see a surprising number of old people with fancy cameras in the parking lot…]. it’s been COLD here lately, and I do not say that lightly. Saturday [when these pictures were taken] there were little flurries aspiring to be snow floating about on the wind. the icy cold wind that has refused to quit lately.
I hate the wind. I hate it so much.
anyway, that’s the reason why I’ve bundled my body in knit things lately. sweaters, scarves, hats, even bright red mittens. because otherwise that bone-chilling wind would prevent me from ever going outside. and that, friends, is not an option.

wow, props to you if you can make mittens! I know I struggle with knitting anything more complicated than an infinity scarf. :)
I bought them online from Kate Spade last spring (?) when they were on sale! I'm not sure if the red is still available, but I know they're selling a pink pair. you can just google kate spade hi 5 mittens and see what comes up :)
