I'm going to call this "frustrated-with-wind face."
sweater - ELLE, from Kohl's; top - Target; jeans - Old Navy; necklace - Charming Charlie; flats - Steve Madden
1] I finally wandered into a Charming Charlie over Christmas, and let me tell you, that place is like heaven! there's so much jewelry collected in one location, it makes me want to actually wear jewelry! and normally I'm pretty lazy when it comes to accessories; I have plenty, but I just don't think to put them on. it's an extra step when I get ready in the morning.
2] could this outfit be anymore Kendi Everyday? I mean, colorful skinnies - check. peplum top - check. pleated peplum top - check. pretty statement necklace - check. just give me my own clothing boutique and call me Kendi.
I'm calling this look "girly" because a] my sweater has ruffles and stripes; b] I belted my waist; and c] there's peplum involved. the green necklace might come across as a questionable color choice to some of you, but I like to do things differently. plus I was really just feeling it in the moment. this hairstyle was partially inspired by seeing this tutorial [although this is something I've been doing to my hair for years], and also because, to me, nothing says "girly" and "sweet" more than a good braid.
also, note to self: super windy days make taking outfit photos a very laborious, frustrating, and sometimes cold process. please take this into consideration in the future. additionally, try to set up your tripod to include your feet in more pictures, okay? okay.
