pink jeans, four ways: classic.

brownie diaries: pink jeans, four ways.
in honor of  the impending arrival of Valentine's Day, and all the pink and red hearts it brings, I've decided to do something a bit different this week.  it's time to celebrate my bright pink jeans.  they might be my most favorite out of my entire colorful pant collection.  the pink just makes me happy, you know?

anyway, the idea came to me last week when I pulled said jeans out of my closet wanting to wear them. the problem arose that I couldn't decide how to clothe my top half - there are just too many options!  so, like a bolt of lightning, the urge hit to blog about it.  about pink jeans and their surprising versatility and overall cuteness, in case any of you out there are still hesitant to try the whole bright denim thing.

sweater - LC Lauren Conrad, from Kohl's; chambray top - Old Navy (similar here and here); jeans - Old Navy; necklace - Galeries Lafayette in Nice; booties - Blowfish

so I've had this outfit idea in my head since Christmas, when I received this sweater and decided it would pair perfectly with my pink pants for a V-Day outfit.  I wanted to style this outfit with a bit of a classic-preppy edge, as I love pairing sweaters with button-down shirts.  my original idea involved just something white and simple, but it's been modified to include this chambray top because the polka dots are so fun!  add in some pearl earrings and a pretty red lip and BAM - you look classy.  I also decided to include this necklace [one of my favorites] because it picked up all of the colors so well.

so there you have it - a peek into my thought process every day as I get dressed.  that probably explains why the act of putting on clothes can be exhausting.
