so the craziest thing happened today:
it snowed.
of course, by my definition, Alabama snow isn’t true snow.  it’s a strange phenomenon that happens on very rare occasions, and it pretty much never sticks.  the fat flakes float their way downward from the heavens and quickly accumulate as grey slush on the sidewalks and the roads.  no one can handle driving in such conditions, so the whole state goes crazy [apparently our roads are made of different material?  true or not true?].  at 2:00 it was still snowing fairly heavily, but by 3:15, when I emerged from Spanish class, the snow was almost all gone and the sun had returned.  all of my fellow college students were freaking out and frolicking in the slush…wearing jeans.  I understand this is Alabama and people don’t own snow-appropriate clothes, but never ever EVER wear jeans.  never.  you will freeze.
Alabama is a strange place.  that’s really all I have to say.

Your campus looks so pretty covered in snow! I wish it snowed here :( I admit, I never would have thought that Alabama had snow! For some reason I just think of it as perma-hot.

Side note: Your boots are super cute!

It's like all of Europe is covered in a winter wonderland of snow at the moment, except in The LPV... in The LPV it rained all weekend! It's like the saddest thing ever.

Haha Tuscaloosa pretty much shut down at 2 that day. I definitely didn't complain about leaving the office early. The next morning was crazy on the interstate between here and Bham sooo many wrecks! Maybe our roads are made out of different stuff... ;)

Beautiful photos while the snow lasted. And good advice, jeans are about the worst pants to wear when it's snowing. It about garuntes that you will come down the the flu or a terrible cold.
